Technologically savvy and environmentally sound, the Conference Center at Lake Placid exists in perfect harmony with its natural landscape. 

The Conference Center at Lake Placid is a green building, constructed within its sheltered Adirondack setting, and the health and comfort of our guests in mind. Construction techniques adhere to the criteria set forth by the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design consortium) and incorporate optimized energy performance, renewable, recycled materials and natural daylight. The center anticipates Gold LEED certification upon completion in 2011.

Transportation

Lake Placid is closer than you think, and its spectacular Adirondack setting will take you away from it all.

By car: Located within a 2 1/2 hour drive from Albany and Montreal and less than a five-hour drive from New York Syracuse and Rochester, N.Y.; Boston; Hartford, Conn.; and Ottawa.   

Railway access is available from New York and Albany with tickets that include a shuttle ride from the Westport station.

Major airports: Lake Placid is within 2 1/2 hours driving time of three major airports: Albany, N.Y.; Burlington, VT.; and Montreal. All are serviced by major airline carriers and have car rentals available.

Plattsburgh, N.Y., has new daily air service direct from Boston on US Airways Express and also Allegiant Air from the Florida destinations of Daytona, Ft Lauderdale, Orlando and Tampa Bay-St. Petersburg.
